We are delighted to announce that Claire Hansen is now a Partner at Firebrand!

Claire has been a key member of our team since joining in 2021. She quickly embodied our small team culture as well as our top values, which include authenticity, integrity, and being focused on our customers – the founders. She was sourcing deals from day one and has found some of our top performing portfolio companies. Even better, her down-to-earth, personable approach has proven invaluable for building trusted relationships with the founders she works with, something that is hugely important to us. She has also done a fantastic job of expanding our network of investors by being collaborative and easy to work with. 

Since 2015 Claire has been a well known and highly regarded figure in the Austin community. She held key roles at Capital Factory, the Central Texas Angel Network where she was Investment Director, and most recently at the Army Futures Commands’ Corporate Ventures unit. When she first joined us, we knew she was a great addition to our team, and more confirmation came after we announced her hiring: we received so many comments from Austin folks telling us what a great add she was. They were 100% right!

Becoming a Partner on such a lean team is no small feat in the venture industry. She has earned her spot at the table and we have no doubt she’ll continue making a name for herself. Many of you already know Claire well, especially those in the Austin startup community. If you don’t already know her, you should!
